      If this were me I would first check if the LPA was registered, as the Scottish system differs from ours I am not sure how you go about that.
      The Financial Guardian should be taken to task on this as he was in control of your dads finances before he passed away. The Public Guardian office should investigate if you suspect theft.

        He was confirmed by the court. I think the executors should be doing more. My concern is they pay the money out before any investigations have been completed I have no trust left in them.

          I agree the executors should be doing more, but in my view sols are not keen on being over worked.
          I would ring the office of public guardian for advice as to missing funds from your dads have only surfaced after his passing at what can be done. http://www.publicguardian-scotland.gov.uk/
          Executors can be personally liable for any mistakes made, so they should be taking more care.
