I'm due to have a disciplinary hearing next month for gross misconduct. I work in social services and I left an event early and did not notify the event coordinator or my boss. I had been feeling unwell for quite sometime and was going to have a panic attack so I left. The council says I put them in danger of ruining their reputation and I lied as to why I left and colluded with a co-worker as to why we left. She was agency and the fired her. Would it be better for me to resign?
