  • Wescot letters

I had a credit card with Virgin Money, it was on 0% and I was trying to pay it off. However, after missing the date to make a monthly payment they took away my 0% . I did call them trying to get them to make it 0% again but they would not. This put the payments up to £240 a month from £150....... I managed to pay the higher amount for sometime however , after hitting some hard times (self employed and single parent) I called them saying that I could not make 1 months payment. I asked if they could stop the interest for a short period to enable me to pay something as I knew work would improve. I completed a form about my income and they said they could not help me. I did not know what to do as I could not afford to pay them so I did not. I really tried to come to an arrangement with them but there was nothing they could do. Eventually I received letters from a debt company , Moorcroft which after a few months stopped. I now have received a letter and calls from Wescott saying they are trying to recover the debt. I am at my wits end... I am not able to pay them as each month is a struggle.. please please help as I am at my wits end.... thank you

I owed the 9k and the original agreement was in 2011, the letter says that the debt was sold to them.
