  • RLP letter from Capital Resolve

    Hi guys!

I just needed some reassurance please.

6 years ago i ignored RLP letters for a payment of £130. I didn't hear from them and assumed they left me alone. I have moved addresses 4 times since and i have just received a letter from Capital Resolve requesting payment for the debt from 6 years ago!!

Is it still safe to ignore them?

I just cant understand how they found my address! Creepy?!!

    Thanks for any help

    Hi and Welcome.
    I would continue to ignore.
    1) not a debt, but at the most an alleged debt. I would describe it as a begging letter.
    2) Capital Resolve are a DCA and have as much power and authority as a puff of wind.

As always the only documents not to ignore are genuine court papers!

Thank you for your reply des8!

Do such claims ever go on to court cases?

I'm just concerned that they managed to find me 6 years later in a completely different address! I suppose this will follow me for decades to come?

      Thanks again

They tried it a few years back but lost heavily and haven't been near court since. See here all about it:
