Re: The exectutor of my mothers will is refusing to pay me the £1000 left to me
Hi and welcome.
Condolences on your mother's passing.
Why does your brother think you owe your mother's estate money?
Is there anything in writing about this alleged debt?
Did he as executor request you pay this amount to the estate?
If all else fails you will need to obtain a copy of the will and then initate court proceedings against him.
Obviously something one would wish to avoid.
Are there other family members who would support you in your efforts to obtain your legacy?

Oh dear, a lot more to this than originally indicated.
You have tried contesting the will, but due to the huge costs of contentious litigation you can't pursuethis further.
Have you discussed with your solicitor the possibility of having your brother removed as executor on the grounds of unsuitability as he has effectively stolen estate money by refusing you your legacy?
