HI everyone! I am currently trying to pay a council tax debt off to ross and roberts. I am paying them 75 per month. The problem is I am unable to make that payment for the next few months and they are not very compassionate. My question is can I go into my local council and explain my situation to them and offer a different arrangement with them as they are likely to be more fair? Or will they just say no as they have passed the debt on? Will ross and roberts allow me to make a smaller payment or will they send the actual bailiffs around? I haven't had any bailiffs around yet as I made the arrangement in the early stages.
