  • Shipping container trespassing on my land

Hi, I have bought a piece of overgrown land on which there is a shipping container...it has been there for 9years or so.
I presume this is a trespass and want the guy who put the container there to move it. It is not used, it is just there 😳
I guess the first thing I should do is write politely and ask him to move it.

    Questions:-
...what time scale do I need to give him?
...what would be the next step?
...can I move it without his permission
    thanks for any help

Write to the person you bought the land from and ask him to move it. Check the side of the container for a shipping company's name. If it's in good condition they might be interested in getting it back. BTW are you in the UK?

Check with the solicitor who did the conveyance. It may be that you are now the legal owner of a shipping container.
