"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

      Re: Hi it's Sheffwoz

Ok I phoned up the DWP helpline and they advised me over the phone that there was no outstanding charge on my mums estate. Should I get this in writing so I can. Proceed with dishing out the money ?

Hi and welcome, always a good idea even if only by email. Was it a pension credit query they had?

No on the death of my mum one payment slipped through. They write a letter confirming that payment had been repaid and if the estate has gone to probate we may investigate. That letter was dated June 2015. I wrong to check whether the account was under investigation. They looked under he reference number and my mums national insurance number and they both had been closed off.

No no I parked the probate application. That was concluded in September 2015. I waited until this year to conclude the estate and once everything was finished I checked that nothing was outstanding. I have not as such been waiting just getting on with other things. My mum was not on benefits when she died I had stopped these about six weeks before she died.

So as I had read things of this forum about tyecDWP coming back years after I phoned them to check the status of my mums pension status.. they said it was closed so as such you owe nothing.

That is true they are a law unto themselves re timescales, but usually all the hold up is re benefits and usually Pension Credit and them trying to claw it back as over payment. My dad passed with only having his pension so i too was relieved I didn't have to go through what many do at such a sad time
