I have sent an email to a company requesting a statement of loans from them, I included my full name date of birth, address and email address at the time I was their customer. I have received a reply with a statement of the loans but it is addressed to my late mother and they have given me a statement of the loans she had taken out when she was a customer with them. They are aware that my mother passed away they did send me an acknowledgement of the death certificate and that the account was closed. Do I raise a complaint with the company first ? I feel that a breach has obviously occurred and someone in this company is not doing their job properly and protecting information. My mother died 11 months ago so not really recent but still upsetting to get the information with details of her borrowing over the years.

Any complaint of this nature should be addressed to the Lenders Data Controller.
