  • Txtloan/ myjar confusion.

    Hi y'all .

Looking to 'clean up' my financial situation, I signed up to clear score to find and open account for MYJAR. Upon googling it's formerly known as TXTLOAN..
Here's the weird bit there reporting every month since Jan 2015 that I've missed. Last "green dot" was Dec 2014. I don't remember this company. Loan was taken in Sept 12. I've 1 million percent not dealt with any company like this since May 2014, when I moved. And definitely not paid them - I emailed their CEO and they have said either
    A) confirm debt and we'll talk
    B) Deny and I contact the police.
They haven't contacted me once in 19 missed payments , what do I do ?

    Hi there ...

Could you jusr clarify some details please ..

The loan that you say you took in September 2012. are you saying that you never paid that back? It seems the tactics of the CEO's reply are very amateurish and can only infer that some fraud is involved if the police are to be contacted.

And why have you not tried to resolve this matter earlier if such a long history of missed payments was involved?

I don't recall this particular company. I've contacted my bank - opened in 2011 and I've never paid or received anything from them - I wasn't aware of the data until I registered with clearscore , - in fact 19 missed payments and they still haven't contacted me ?

          Hi Funkey_nugget

Are you saying that you have never had a loan from, or that you do not owe money to, either company, whether at your current address or any previous address?

            Hi charitynjw,

I'm unsure. I certainly haven't paid them anything in 3.5 years ( time at current address ) and haven't had contact with them until I instigated it. However they've reported I've paid them up until December 2014 then marked as missed payment for 19 months and haven't bothered making contact.

In which case it would appear that you need to do some sleuthing. :spy:

I guess that, if you did borrow money, it will have been credited to some account or other.
Check with all your bank accounts etc for the period around Sept 2012 to see if any deposits were made.
Although it is ultimately up to the company(ies) to prove you did borrow, it is wise to be able to prove that you did not.

                Re: Txtloan/ myjar confusion.

I've checked my current account ( opened July 11 ) and up to this date I have not made any payments or received any through that account.

I can categorically deny there has been no contact or payments made in 3.5 yrs - they have the account at previous address. They claim payments where been made until December 14. Then started recording missed payments since . They won't speak to me unless I take ownership - they haven't sought to contact me at current address and seem disinterested in doing so. I've instigated contact I want to sort it out.

If you are certain that you have not borrowed the money, reply to MR CEO's email & tell him so.
Also remind him that per the Data Protection Act 1998 Principle 4, any info that his firm holds about you &/or passes to a 3rd party, must be accurate. It also impinges on your Principle 6 rights.

Demand that they stop processing your personal data & refer specifically to s10 Data Protection Act 1998, & should they still feel that you owe it, provide proof of same.

I believe they have 21 calendar days to respond, so give that as a deadline & inform them that if they do not play nice you will inform the ICO without any further warning........words to that effect.

                    Re: Txtloan/ myjar confusion.

I suggest you reply saying that you used payday loans several years ago but these were all paid off and you are sure that you haven't made any payments to any payday lender since moving to your current house in mmm/yyyy. You therefore deny that the debt currently appearing your your credit record which has payments being made 2 years ago (attached) is yours. Ask them to delete the credit record and also send you a statement of account for your previous loans with them.

Soo, they emailed me a statement of accounts , it's mine , I called Lloyd's though p about the mis info they'd provided previously and got £55 goodwill Anyhow I've emailed them and told them they where irresponsible lenders - received an email saying their looking into it. They've been reporting to my credit file for 19 months as late payments (not default) and have recorded payments that where never made ( statement of account proves this )
