Hi, i'm new to this site and not entirely sure where to post so please bare with me

I have a question regarding Facebook screenshots,

Two of my ex colleagues were having an affair nobody at work knew of. both are unmarried though he was in a relationship.
The affair was discovered by his partner and she understandably went mad to the point of making all sorts of threats to the lady, these rants and threats were captured in screenshots, by her making the threats, and posted to all of their mutual friends Facebook timelines.
I'm not friends with either but i saw them when they appeared on another friends timeline.
I knew that another of my colleagues was interested in the lady and i thought i would just let him know what he may be getting himself into, so i took my own screenshot and showed him along with a few interested parties, then promptly deleted the screenshot i had taken.
now it seems the male ex colleague is threatening to go to the police because what i did is against the law? Naturally i'm worried that i may have to answer for this stupidity.

Please can i have some helpful advice.
    Many thanks.

What you did isn't against the law.
