  • Picture home loans name removal

    Just spoke to picture to get my ex partners name removed from loan agreement, thinking i could for around £80 but the woman i spoke to said no it can't be done. I wasnt made aware about this change, my ex is furious, can anyone help me please

    Hi there ... there have been similar earlier threads about this problem and I see it that a name cannot be removed all the time the loan is outstanding as it's the basis of the contract and provides joint liability to pursue in the event of default. IF this is indeed the case then the only thing you can do to appease your ex is to offer reassurance that you will not allow the loan to get into default, trivial though that may sound. I would hope that someone more knowledgeable on here can advise you further ...

      No you cannot get their name removed short of death. Your only choice is to remortgage in your sole name.
