VT of car finance from another EU country?

I purchased a car on finance in the UK and have since moved to Cyprus with it (had permission from finance company). I was wondering as to wether I could hand it back here as it's an EU country? Long shot?

I found this old thread on here which may help

4) You do not have to make any special arrangement to return the car; they must arrange either a local drop off point, or free collection.
