Good afternoon all,

I'm trying to help a lady pensions who has had £79 charged to her bank account by Amazon Prime so far I've tried all the number and various web addresses without success all call go to barely literate operators somewhere up the Punjab who cant or wont transfer a call to a manager in India or the UK.

The lady does not use a computer and has never heard of Amazon Prime.

Her bank has given all the usual excuses about pending payments etc., any waiting 10 days for a refund the amounts to 2/3 of her weekly income.

If anyone has any numbers for the UK or contract address please let me know.

      Re: Amazon

I had mysteriously got charged for Amazon Prime and simply followed the MSE guide and complained on the basis that I hadn't knowingly signed up for it and they refunded me without a problem.

      The e-mail address I used was prime@amazon.co.uk

You can so easily be misled when you take the offer of Prime and like other stuff you must cancel within 30 days or they charge you. This is a bit odd if the lady has never used the internet let alone Amazon I would see it more as her cards been hacked.

Thank you Kati and EXC This lady does not have a computer or a smartphone and had never heard of Amazon until her debt card was declined this afternoon and the bank produced a printout of transactions.

She had received a new debit card (renewal) only a few days ago and has only used it in the last two days in secure environments.

As the yanks say I'm goin y=to chew ass!!

            Thank Enaid,

It's odd that a new debit card a renewal received only a few days ago , the bank has not disclosed the number of the card used and I've seen the ladies old card which has been cut up so small there no chance of it being misused.
