Stamp Duty - Linked Transactions?

I am purchasing a house now and land at a later date off the same seller but solicitor states is a linked transaction so will pay stamp duty on both purchases.

Is there any arrangement can be set up so only pay SDLT on the initial house purchase as land is under £150k?

Not that I am aware of, solicitor is correct in that they would be deemed to be linked transactions as they are with the same seller so you pay stamp duty on the total value
