  • Early PCP termination

    Hi,

I recently bought a Citroen from a 3rd party dealer on a 3rd party PCP scheme - The car has unfortunately been plagued with problems - I feel like stopping the payments and handing the car back but I'm not sure this would actually help my legal standing?

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Can you provide us of the dates when you purchased the vehicle? What have you done about it so far, have you complained to the dealer?

How did you pay for the vehicle, credit card or debit?

I bought the vehicle in April 2015, Between July 15 - Oct 15 it was mostly off the road due to a damaged piston / ring.
Initially I was told to take it to the dealer, who weren't interested in doing anything unless someone else payed for it. After some hassle, I complained to Santander, who got in touch with the PCP broker. One of the director's said basically it could sit in a puddle doing nothing going round in circles - So we decided to have it rebulit and pay 50% each. Happy days :-)

The car covered about 2,000 miles and has apparently put a conrod through the block now. I have phoned the Consumer help line of C.A.B. (?) and they suggested that the quickest cheapest method to have it fixed is to tell Santander that they own the car until the final payment has been paid - Could be best if I send you a letter or upload here somehow? I was told to give thm 10 days to respond... I am guessingthat will be up Shortly.
