  • Adjustment made to basic salary

Hi, I'm hoping someone might be able to give me some quick advice. I have recently left a sales role that paid both a basic salary and a commission structure. I have just received my last payslip and a deduction has been made to my basic salary. I was not notified of any changes being made, nor would I have agreed.
Is this legal? Are employers allowed to make changes to an annual salary?

On the face of it, not legal.

If it has been done under the guise of a salary reduction it is breach of contract.
Only deductions which can be made are listed on this site: https://www.gov.uk/understanding-you...-from-your-pay
