  • Total fitness membership con

So first time i went to the gym (total fitness) DONOT go to this gym do not sign any paperwork as they are con artists ... I managed to break a bone in my hand in the first class I attended. I cancelled my dd to be told . No you can't do that . You signed a 12 month contract . They failed to tell me that I did not have a cooling of period as it is a service !!! I explained my job was in hospitality and without use of my hand I could not get work !!! And was dropped by my agencies .Hence could no longer afford it . The reply was I would need a statement from financial advisor !!!! WTF.... No I can't claim anything from them for the broken hand as their paperwork covers all of this but that's not my issue .. My issue is the lack good practise with this company as they held back on advising no cooling of period .. So any advice or knowledge or is there a financial advisor willing to write a. letter stating I am not in a financial state to pay as I am technically out of work ! Or anyone that knows the legal stand in this as I am completed getting conned here surely this is unfair. Please share this and see if anyone you know may have someone who has legal knowledge !

@Jhallam ... we do not usually allow company reps to offer 'off-forum' help to a poster without checking their credentials first. I can see you are an official Total Fitness employee, but I would ask you keep the thread updated if (or when) the OP gets in touch, so we know the outcome.
@Dohanlon ... it is up to you if you take up Joanne's offer of assistance. K xx
