  • MKDP Court Case

I put this case to Legal Beagles some time ago.Just to refresh your memories.i had a joint and several loan to HSBC with my then business partner for a total £22k the business which was a ltd company went into liquidation in 2008 and was finalised in 2010 HSBC sold this debt on to various companies before finally selling it to Mkdp after many letters going back and forth over the years Mkdp finally took me to Court in June 2015 despite me telling them beforehand that they were wasting their time as I had no assets or means of paying them anything.
Anyway to cut a long story short the Judge ruled in their favour and costs were added that took the debt up to £25k (makes no difference if it was a £125k ) I could not pay.
Since then I have heard nothing from them except at the beginning of this year that they had once again sold the debt to yet another debt collection company.
can anyone tell me what is the point of this fruitless merry go round and what do they hope to achieve. The judge ruled in favour of MKDP not another company and as yet neither one has been in touch in anyway ?
    Madness

Hello motorman what's the new " owners " name there has been a lot of mergers and amalgamations and restructuring in the debt purchase industry MKDP has been involved.

A debt can be sold with a CCJ in place and the new owner can apply for the judgement to be change to its name.

The New debt collection company is called Hoechst something or other it is a double barrelled name.
But I have heard nothing from the Courts except they ruled in their favour had no demand for payment or anything ?

Is there anything I can do ? Surely that can't be legal to have it transferred to another company ??
