  • Hi, im new to the forum, help needed on duplicate ccj

    Hi

sorry if I'm posting in the wrong area but I'm new to the forum and any help would be greatly appreciated

I really need help with this as I'm now at my whitS end and don't know which way to turn.
Stupidly I received a ccj for an old halifax account. The ccj which was taken over by wescot credit services .ccj received in 2012.apparently wescot handed it back to halifax and they then sold the debt on again to b carter solicitors who subsequently ccjd me for the same sort code and account number in 2015. The court is showing two different reference numbers but having spoken to both companies they gave confirmed that they are for the same sort code and account number. B carter transferred the debt to fredrickson. They subsequently passed the debt back to wescot who they gave passed to lowell portfolio. Fredrickson and b carter will not speak to me, I've spoken to halifax who say it's not there issue and as you can appreciate im going round in circles. I really need help on this . I have two different court references for different dates but they are both relating to the same account. I have spent numerous hours on the phone and feel I'm being given the run around now. I just really need to know which way to go next

    thanks again

Good evening Ruth, welcome to LB,

Bryan Carter is a solicitor not a debt purchaser.

I suspect that he was acting for one of the companies of the Lowell group in this case Fredrickson International which now manages accounts on behalf of Lowell Portfolio.
Did Halifax obtain the " first " CCK in its name?
From where are you getting these various dates?
Is the information on your credit files?

Have you been in touch with the court office which could be of help.

      hi nem.

the first judgement registered 2012, I have spoken to the court and they advised that the creditor was wescott credit services, thy gave me a phone number for them 0844 824158, I contacted them and they confirmed sort code and account number for account and advised that this was passed back to Halifax , subsequently I contacted Halifax and they advised they passed to Lowell.

on the 2nd judgement registered in 2015 the court confirmed the creditor was fredrickson n contact number 0345396073 ,icontacted them and they advised same sort code and account number, apparently they dealt with b.carter solicitors who I contacted and they stopped all activity on my account as I am paying the debt off to them. I then received a letter to say that they have passed back to Lowell and when I try and speak to b cater they will not entertain me on the phone. so I have 2 judgements with 2 different reference numbers and two different dates for the same sort code and account number.

thanks again for replying I really do appreciate it

Ok I think the way forward is to make Formal Written Complaint to the parties that have the judgements, this obliges the recipient to fully investigate and respond within 56 days, such things rarely take that long.
