Cca request £1 credited to account

Hi all

i sent a cca request to robinson way and they replied with a letter asking for £1. I sent a postal order for the amount and stated in the covering letter that this is not to be credited to the account as i do not acknowledge the debt....they have now replied stated they have credited the axcount with £1 and they do not mention the cca request.
There is 8 months until this is statute barred and so this will obviously resetthe clock

what shoild i do?

Is Robinson Way acting on behalf of another company?

You must make a formal complaint to RW and send a copy to the Financial Conduct Authority.

If a court claim has been issued the SB "clock" stopped on the date a claim was issued.

Please give us the full details o the debt.

The Person to complain to is Najib Nathoo address letter to him marked private and confidential by signed for post. You need to check date of delivery and signature ( print off and keep)

No court has been issued. I recieved a letter before action an i replied with a request under pre action protocol.

And yes they are acting for hp2p. Thankyou

I have replied by email already to their complaints dept asking them to reverse it an use the £1 for the cca request or i will be taking them to the ombudsman. Should i also write to this najib character?

Yes dealing with customer complaints/services department more often than not results in the standard " computer says no" style of reply as the staff have no real authority to act on all but simple matters.

This tactic by RW is unethical to say the least but is quickly becoming a regular feature with claims handled by Hoist and RW.

I would put this in writing as a Formal Complaint having dealt with Nathoo when he was CEO of 1st Credit beware of " smoke and mirrors".
