  • Arrow Global chasing me for money

    Hello

Since September 2014, Arrow global and their solicitor Blake Lapthorn took me to county court for a debt with HBOS they bought in 2011, I challenged it via the courts that I want more information immediately and since then its being on hold, back in December 2015 I was sent credit card statements showing that I last made payment in February 2009. I replied that it now statute Barred but am told that since they have already started the process that it is not.

I am trying to start afresh with no CCJ but this will set me back another 6years, Two areas am not sure of is now I think its late to chase me and also part of the information I requested was copy of my credit agreement with HBOS which was not provided to me

    Any advise here please

Re: Arrow Global chasing me for money

    Good morning, welcome to LB.

If the claim was issued in September 2014 the debt is not statute barred, a county court
claim stops the 6 year clock on the date the claim was issued.
Have you checked with the court to find out the status of the claim, i.e. has the claim
    been stayed?

If have not checked phone the court asap to find out, come back here when you have
    the information.

      Thanks,

I have called the court and I was advised that the case is stayed since October 2014

A firm must not continue to demand payment from a customer after the customer has stated that he will not be paying the debt because it is statute barred.
