OK. So mostly an irrelevance then, but still very naughty of BC.

Re: Barclaycard using wrong default date

      Hello members,

I would like to update you on my current situation. I have written to Barclaycard visa to remove the default from my credit files . Barclaycard have written back advising that they will look into my case and would let me know by 8th April 2016. This default shows on my Experian credit files.

I have received 2 letters from PRA Grouping chasing me for Barclaycard mastercard debt and dorothy perkins debts dated back to April 2007 and before. They have offered me to pay 20% of my debt as a full settlement. These debts are not currently on my Experian credit files.

I would appreciate if you could advise me if I should reply to PRA Group.

      Thank you for your help.

          Responding to PM

Johny has informed me that Barclaycard has admitted the default was their mistake.

At last BC acknowledges a mistake.

Thank you Nem. Your help was very valuable and guided me in the right direction.

Barclaycard have accepted that it was their system fault and the debt should have been removed from my credit files.

since the debt is now owned by MKDP, they will request MKDP to remove the default from the Credit files.

They have asked me to contact them if the default is not removed within 6 weeks from my credit files.

Thank you all for the help.

Excellent. MKDP fails again and Barclaycard admit a default what more can we ask??
