• Data protection breach

I currently have a complaint ongoing with lloyds bank. Today the advisor agreed to email in writing actions took for the complaint so far. When I recieved the email it also contained the names, sort code, account numbers and complaint details of two other lloyds account holders. What form of compensation would this entail as for all I know other people have also recieved my information too!

Will ask EXC and Amethyst in regards to the issue. I won't advise on compensation but it is a breach of Data Protection Act and is reportable to the Information Commissioner's Office.

I do not think you have a claim for breach of the DPA as the breach is not your information..................you would need to prove your assumption that "they could have supplied others" with information about you.
I would make the ICO aware of this AND the people you have information about.........it is they that would have a claim against Llloyds............be a good member of the public and tell them............I would say.
Again I doubt if you have a claim at all.............Sorry ,....but I have had a lot of dealings with the DPA and the ICO.

Just my opinion others may say different
