Following on from a previous post where I booked a holiday home through Homeaway.co.uk and the deposit wasn't returned by the owners in France. They alleged lots of damage to the property which is rubbish and I was only there 4 nights with my wife and children.
Anyway over 3 months on and they still wont refund as they are still getting quotes or so they say. I left them a bad review on Trip Advisor and I kept everything factual. I now have calls from owners telling me to remove it within 10 days or they will sue me as I'm ruining their business. I thought this was the point of Trip Advisor.
Interestingly Homeaway.co.uk will not publish my negative review but thats another story.
Anyone know why my rights are? Can someone in France easily sue someone in UK? How can they actually prove I left the review? If they did I could take this to the press and they would suffer at the hands of negative exposure. Of course they could just be bluffing.
