Do you live at the property as well? If all the residents are full time students they should be able get certificates to that effect from the council. show these to the council and the inhabitants are exempt council tax for the academic year. Please get confirmation emails from the council to show exemption and keep a hard copy. If you are the only other inhabitant then you can apply for single persons discount .

As far as I know students are exempt from council tax, you may still be liable best check on your councils website as they all have differing rules re exemption , discounts etc.
