CCJ & F&F settlement realistic?

Hi, am I correct in the fact that a CCA request, whether it can be produced or not, has any implications on a debt with a CCJ on it? Does anyone think I am able to offer a F&F on such a debt? It was taken out 2003, & I owe 1500 on it. I have requested the CCA, they have replied they will reconstitute the agreement, should they be unable to locate it. Does the CCJ mean I will be unable to make an offer? Thanks in advance

The CCJ was made in 2003 or the credit agreement?

A CCA request will make no difference once a CCJ has been granted

The reason for this is that the original account has been termnated. This should have been raised at the defence stage failure of an actual agreement

Only a court now can set aside this judgemnet, the creditor can accept a short settlement, but wil make little difference to your credit file in reality

Thank you, to b honest im not too bothered about credit file, i will never apply for credit again!!! The credit agreement was 2003. I am trying to make F&Fs to all my creditors, my income has drastically reduced due to me having progressive MS & my husband is my carer. The CCJ was applied 2006. I have had some compensation from ppi redress, debts 17000, redress 8000, trying to agree some F&Fs because of unlikelihood of ever paying debts in full, new budget £1 token to all means 20years plus paying back, dont want to seem dramatic, but MS wont go away & will get far worse. Just would like some stress relief.

If the CCJ is from 2006 then it will be off your credit file. It gets removed after 6 years paid or not but the Liability for the debt remains.

In this case you can offer the creditor a full and final to release you from the CCJ

When was the last time you checked your credit file??

Last month! The CCJ is not on there, hasnt been for a while. Just worried dlc will hold out for full settlement because of CCJ & hold it against me in negotiations

I would advise you pay each debt one pound per month and use the refund to enhance your life

Thanks for advice all, would love to clear debt though wales01 man, lovely idea though! Don't like home being under threat to b honest, I've got progressive Multiple Sclerosis & would just like some relief from the stress, hence offers of F&fs
