How to remove charge on property

hi everyone. Will try and explain my problem as briefly as I can. My wife's house has a charge on it placed there by her ex husband about 6 months ago. At the time as far as we were concerned the house was still jointly owned and the charge would be coming out of his share. The house went up for sale and a buyer was found. However as my wife went through her documents which contained an order from the court saying that as part of the divorce the house was hers. So how can we get this charge removed seeing that he has no share in the property. Any advice would be warmly welcomed. Thanks

A charge wouldn't be affected by the order; the order is to secure something - whether or not he owns it does not matter.
