Hi i will try to keep it simple.
my biological father (whom i never met) passed away in 2007 after a fall.
I have only recently found my father well his family and discovered i have a half sister whom inherited the payout from his fall.
Some of his family members were aware he had another child some where not.
Do i have a legal right to the payout?

    Hi and welcome.
You have now discovered your biological family, and could POSSIBLY have a claim against your father's estate.
However if you were adopted by your new family you will have no claim

Thank you for you time. I was dragged up by my mother & her numerous husbands so no new family.

So as you were never "adopted out" you have the same rights to inherit as all his other children.

Be aware though. that if obtaining your share should involve contentious litigation. it could prove expensive.
If all his estate has been distributed and those who benefited have no assets, and neither do the estate administrators. it might not be worth pursuing.
