Welcome changed secured loan to unsecured?

hi we have had a secured loan with welcome for about 14 yrs, I have just found out that in 2010 it became an unsecured loan how is this possible? They took their name off our deeds then and telling us it's still a secured loan can anyone help? Thanks

This I suspect arises from when Welcome Finance ceased taking new business and administrators were appointed to collect the outstanding book debts, so many foul ups and fiddles from branch to branch with agreements rewritten sometimes without the borrowers knowledge.

Have you check with the Land Registry on this yet?
