My auntie whom I have lived with all my life died three years ago.My parents are dead. My auntie brought me and my two sisters up, and for the past 15 years I was my auntie's carer. My two sister moved away 20 years ago.My auntie was never one to believe in banks and when she died my horrible sister came round to see what she could get. She found a safe unlocked in my auntie's bedroom which I had been totally unaware of. I knew my auntie had money because she rarely spent her pensions and she used to get about £1,000 a week.My sister said she counted out the money and there was only £5,000 there. She said we could each have half. But I had to spend that £2,500 on funeral costs and paying off all my auntie's bills, so I was left with nothing. I later found out my sister - who's already been to prison for a vicious assault - had lied (which doesn't surprise) me and that there was about £50,000 in the safe. When I confronted my sister with it, she threatened to kill me with a broken bottle. She smashed up part of the house too.I'm a meek man so I don't like any kind of confrontation. I am on JSA and penniless. But I don't own this house I live in. Auntie never left a will, and nothing has been resolved.Any help please. Thanks.
Auntie died, left no will, where do I stand?
