Working on electrics when the boss knows u can't legally

When I fit house alarms I sometimes have to remove old systems from the mains! My employer knows I am not an electrician and we have not been trained on this so I think this is illegal
Can u help?

Does your work also require you to connect new systems to the main power supply?
