American Express and the F.S.O

Hi All

I am new to the forum and am wondering if anyone ca help

I made a claim against American Express for P.P.I. which they turned down I then went to the F.S.O who upheld my claim.
In June a received a letter from the F.S.O stating that American Express had agreed to pay. I have contacted the F.S.O asking for an update and they are advising that they are in talks with American Express to get them to pay in the way in which they want them to.

I was just wondering if anyone else has come across this and can give me any idea how long the procedure will take ?

Re the American Express issue

The issue was logged with the F.S.O in October 2012

I received a note from them in June 2014 advising that Amex had agreed to pay and they were checking the amount offered.

I have since rang the F.S.O and they tell me they are still negotiating with Amex to get them to make a payment to the F.S.O. agreed standards.

Just wondered if anyone has any idea how long this is likely to take or what the issue is. I suspect that aAmex want to pay 8% interest and the F.S.O want 8% compound interest .

I'm afraid you'll have to keep chasing the FSO as I doubt anyone here (myself included) can give you the time when your matter will be settled
