  • Updated Information on Bank Charges

    Hello

I have been looking for more recent information on anyone who has reclaimed bank charges. In particular, anyone who has received a county court claim from a finance company (who bought Lloyds Bank's debt) for bank charges. I am thinking of counter claiming from them.

    Many thanks.

Re: Updated Information on Bank Charges

Following the OFT test case against the banks, it has not been possible to reclaim bank charges. Some hardship cases may be eligible but it is certainly not suitable for a counter claim ........ Unless you like losing
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Re: Updated Information on Bank Charges

thank you for responding. I think I would fall into the hardship definitions. My aim was/is for them to drop the claim against me not for me to make a profit. I was going to use the arguments on Martin's website although I'm wondering after your response whether I shoud just pay up... On the one hand I don't really have time to fight it but we struggled to pay the charges until they snowballed to the extent we were never going to get ahead of ourselves and no doubt like many others just feel the bank (finance company) are taking the mick.
      thanks again.
