Stress... It is not a good thing. The reason I am here is to seek help with different legal problems I have. None of the problems are my own fault, but each problem has cost me money. Kind of ironic in a way because my ideal life is living in the middle of nowhere with bears and wolves outside without the need for money and banks etc... Oh and my dogs - so not alone as such! They travel the 3,000 miles via road with me.... But for now, I am stuck in UK because of legal problems. Response - I am always ignored...

I try to read and learn about law. eg - at the moment, i am trying to understand abuse of process in relation to court hearings for repossession.

I can not really say that I find law interesting but it seems that i am forced to read, learn and use it if i do not want to become a victim of banks, councils etc, - who I believe use law and automated processes without actually looking at facts or even bothering to answer concerns and complaints.

My job is a computer programmer, but I have been thinking about studying law (If im not too old for a career change!!!) Reason for this is that since experiencing County Court and 9 different repossession hearings, I feel as though ordinary members of the public are not treated fairly within the Court. The public is at a disadvantage since the public is not fully aware of the CPR. Neither is the public aware how easy it is to stop a house repossession using the Administration Of Justice Act along with the Norgan case law.
I do not find law interesting, but I do have a desire to help other people facing eviction and repossession from unscrupolous banks.

I do not know how I can help others, maybe create a website with clear concise guidance to allow people to keep their homes? There are some websites out there, some of which pretend to be helping people but the reality is that the website wants to buy the property cheap... The other type of websites are 'charity' - (i will not name it here) but a google search for house repossession advice would bring you to the charity page. Upon my personal investigation into that website, it turned out to be owned by a mortgage broker. Another website is run by a lady who gives advice but with the intention of getting documents signed to say that she should be paid a fee / and / or putting control of the property into an agency, or selling at a cheap price etc...
Of course, there is this website..... and looking at this site more today, I see it is nice! But this website doesn't do well in search terms for advice in housing repossession - the other websites (which are just business wanting your house) appear

so maybe i will make that website.. or maybe study law and become a solicitor.. or possibly work as a litigant in person? to give advice to others?
which is what the lady above probably does. but i do not want to make money from this, it is only a desire to help others. i already have a job.

OK... I am a very quick typist, which explains my long sporadic random post here!

so finally - thanks to whoever created this website! since yesterday i wondered why people here have photos / avatars of dogs. tpday i realise that the clue is in the websites name.

and thanks again for a good site

It doesn't do well on searches for those keywords because there aren't as many threads on that subject as there are on others, and the sites you mention will have been optimised to appear at the top on those searches. :nerd:

But we have our very own housing specialist here on LB, her name is PlanB :yo: and she knows a lot about repossessions as well as landlord and tenant issues and everything else related to housing.

      Hi Draknarz,

I'm glad you like this site so much - you've said a lot of kind things, thank you.

Your ideal life is my dream (without the bears and wolves). I have quite a few friends who live full time in motorhomes, and one who lives almost entirely off the land. It's amazing what they achieve.

My recommendation to you would be to get really involved in a site where you're comfortable - possibly here? You are much more likely to get near to achieving your dream of helping people that way than building your own site IMO. I've tried it, and am actually building a website now designed to be a 'one stop shop' for quality links to other sites - it is proving immensely challenging. There's almost no original content in there, as usually it has been done better elsewhere, so a link is more useful.

If you were to share your knowledge through a site like this, it is surprising how quickly the numbers of people coming here for advice increase, or so it seems to me as a layman.

A very noble aim which I applaud - I hope you achieve it whichever way you choose to go.
