Hi there all, I hope everyone's Monday was not too painful. I am so pleased to have found the forum, and I really hope some of you can point me in the right direction. I am having serious problems right now with my employer and have no idea where to go next. Initially, is anyone up on Occupational sick pay vs SSP? Specificaly, should I have been paid both of these for the same period of time? Would the 'waiting days' in the SSP guidelines, apply to the second week of an absence due to receiving entitlement of full wage for one week (it's 1 week full pay for every year of service, I have 13 months service).
If anyone can shed any light or point me to best discussion group, I'd be very grateful. It is a good one, and may make you giggle a bit when we get into the guts of it - all I will say is, I have never received a contract of employment, or a statement of particulars, I know no such documents exist, and I know that I will be okay from that angle, however it is quite a messy situation and I thank you in advance for any helpful comments.
