Presumably to eventually end up getting involved in IVAs... Another difference between a DMP and an IVA is that a DMP is not a form of insolvency, whilst an IVA is! That means an IVA is a matter of public record like BR and CCJs, unlike defaults, where only certain companies, largely those who share data with the CRAs, are allowed to search your credit files.
It is also possible to do your own DMP if you wish... There really is no need to pay for that sort of thing, if you are going to pay, you might as well use all your available money for your creditors rather than paying an IP or DMP manager. :nono:
