Hi I am one of three sisters who is a beneficiary of my deceased mom's home.My middle sister lived with my mom until my mom passed on.In my mom's will this sister is the executor and the three of us should get even distribution of any money. My middle sister emptied and sold the house after 56 years by herself. She kept me informed everystep and both of us paid off existing bills. We paid the utilitie, upkeep while waiting to sell the home.We only had 6 months to sell before it might be foreclosed,as my mom had a existing reverse mortgage to also pay.!The oldest and third sister has made herself impossible to communicate with! She did not have a relationship with my mom or other sister who lived with my mom! When my mom went into the hospital this sister showed up to visit .We would see her and be pleasant but she would start provoking even while my mom was dying!!She was called in attempts to have peace during such a horrible time. She refused to be available for any attempts made during that time to respond to our attempts! She was informed by my middle sister that she had possibly buyer for the home. She called from the lawyers office. No way was this sister responding!!The house was not in good shape difficult to sell! Finally ened up having it sold to a contractor! The lawyer sent out the final accounting for each of the benficiaries to sign , notarize and send back.Than the money( which is not a very large amount) would be distributed to each of us!!My older sister and I live in the same apart building .I receeived the document from the lawyer and sent it back and so did my middle sister!!No response at all from my other sister???The lawyer also sent it certified mail!No response!!This was back in beginning of march. The question I have is Do we have to wait until this sister responds or can we still move on!We just want to close the end chapter to what has been so painful!! THANKYOU BBoop

Re: can two of three beneficiaries claim money due if one has no contact
can I check with you whether this is UK or US law as a lot of the first post seems to use US English(that's not a criticism btw)?"Family means that no one gets forgotten or left behind"
