    Re: Ferrallite

Hello Enaid thanks for directing me to the welcome page

Hello to everybody else, this seems to be a friendly place and I am assured by my mate Solowka that indeed this is THE place to be!

I'm in a spot of bother actually and hopefully someone can help me. I'll post my query in the "Bailiffs issues" just as soon as I've posted this.

    Bye for now....

      Re: Ferrallite

      Welcome Feral.

Any mate of Sols is most welcome here. :okay:

I will check out your 'spot of bother'...............
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
