    Re: Hello all

    Hi Keith

    Welcome to Legal Beagles :beagle:
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

      Re: Hello all

      Hi,

my husband has just received a council tax letter to the address we both live in now but is about the previous address he live in on his own before we married, it's for the tax year 2004, when he moved out in 2007 he said he paid it all off (and he say's he has a letter to say nothing is owed) but now after 9 years they are asking for an amount of 342.73.

back in 2008 they contacted him for this payment but at the time he was receiving income support and that they was going to contact DWP to have the amount taken from his benefits weekly by direct debit, they never contacted them and the money was never debited from his account, we had forgotten all about it as we were not contacted again until 7th March 2013, how do we stand because they say we owe it but we have letters to say nothing is owed, I also thought that they could not legally ask for payment now as its is over 7 years?

please could you advise me further on this matter ASAP as they have given us 7 days to respond from the 7th March 2013, we are now on low income and are both receiving working and child tax credits and therefore can't afford this.

      kind regards

      Sandra
