Oh,,and I am complete total non believer in tarot and stuff like that.It's pot luck what cards get drawn and down to interpretation as to what is said they hold.
Tarot cards are easily purchased and ,IMO,can be dangerous to the susceptable( and yet again I can quote from personal experience)
I believe Life is what you make it,and we learn (sometimes) from our mistakes.
I don't believe in 'predictions' either.
I do,,however,think there is a lot of leeway in Spiritualism,I don't think our time on Earth is all there is.I have always kept away from it through my own unfounded fears.I fully intend going to a meeting,and if someone comes through for me,and I can recognise that person,then and only then will I look into it furthur.

My hubby had his tarot cards read a few years ago - was a complete eye opener and pretty accurate too........

I am an ex smoker too and now every time I walk passed someone who is having a ciggie I turn green. The smell is sooooo disgusting.

Smelling like an ash tray is so un-cool!

Don't get me wrong Ruby,,I am in no way casting scorn on those who do believe in Tarot etc,I just don't and have never had my opinion swayed. Too many people play games with the unknown for my liking and I won't believe my future can be foretold in a set of easy to buy but easier to abuse cards.

No offence taken, Inca. I believe there is a very small percentage of people on this planet who have a special 'gift'(I like to think of it as a six sense) and others who try and convince us through deception that they have a special gift too and try and get us to part with our money. Whether these folk call themselves tarot reads or bankers it still amounts to the same thing.

Exactly,I worry about the vulnerability of some people who are so desperate for answers or to find out if their future is going to improve they throw everything at it and when it doesn't happen they are left devastated,cheated and, more often than not,out of pocket.
If someone could predict my future or speak about my past and get it right I would happily pay AFTER the results but I can't imagine anyone would take me up on that.

Cosmic told me in 2012 that I would see someone I had longed to before the end of 2012.
As I went in to the garden to toast my dad, and give his rose bush it's annual tot of whiskey (family tradition) I saw a man in the garden. I was about to shout of Mr R for help, when he turned and I realised I was looking at my beloved Aiden, the one person I had longed to hear from the most.

I know there are perfectly reasonable explainations for this, but in my heart I know he came just to see me and wish me a happy 2013....

And Cosmic, if you somehow told him of my wish, I thank you from the bottom of my foot... As my heart simply isn't deep enough!!

I used to have strong views about this, I think that one of the few benefits of getting older is that you learn that it is all right, to say, I don,t know.

One thought though, speaking as an ageing hippy, anyone who signs their posts, "Love and light" is OK with me

To each their own beliefs Puff,,I'm not about to make wild claims that you didn't see what you saw or that my opinion is the right one because everyone makes their own mind up.
I personally don't believe in Tarot or that someone can predict my future or read my past without having some inkling of who I am etc,I'd love to be proven wrong but I maintain the right to my opinion and that is it's not something I believe in.

The things Cosmic told me, I haven't told anyone else, not even my mum, but Cosmic did!!

My brother Matt is also a clairaudient and clairyovant, he has quite frankly spooked many friends with his accuracy .


I think that's why you and me get on so well, cos we respect the others beliefs.

To quote my sister, if Derek Acorah says it, BS. If our Matt says it.... Gospel!!

I would never,ever mock someones beliefs,,and I have had major issues with some folks over this because I refuse point blank to be so condescending as to presume I'm right and they are wrong (Ok,,they're wrong in my opinion but as I accept their belief I expect the same courtesy back)
I'm happy to be proved wrong,,I really deep down hope one day someone will be so accurate that I will HAVE to admit I'm wrong,or that I have doubts.
I experience strange things,and have found out on here I'm not alone.I hear voices from my past so loud they make me jump,the last one was Robs Mum.
I have faith,even though it's been sorely tested over the years,and many people disagree with my 'religion' but even though I'm not practising it at the moment,my faith helps me in troubled times.
I just don't believe anyone outside of my immediate circle of family and friends who were there when certain things happened can possibly prove to me that they know.Generalised sweeping statements such as 'you will have a difficult decision,or you will have such and such' just doesn't convince me that person has a 'gift' and certainly not have that 'gift' levied upon them by a set of cards that can be purchased by anyone and are open to all kinds of interpretations.Give me rock solid evidence,,irrefutable evidence that only I would know the answer to and I'll shout from the rooftops that I am wrong.

On the 10th anniversary of my brothers death I was incidentally attending a party with a 'spiritualist' present. She had never met me before and told me things about my brother that there is NO WAY she could have known! She told me how my brother had died, etc, etc.

Anyone explain that?!

Like Inca I think there may be mileage in spiritualism. My issue with tarot cards is they are pieces of cardboard, mass produced somewhere for a matter of pence by machinery and sold in shops or over the internet to anyone. I just cannot believe that a piece of cardboard can predict my future.
