I'm new so please bare with me.
I'm in the process of claiming ppi and on the journey i discovered that Abbey sold their cards to MBNA in 2001 and i was told to claim ppi from them for the abbey national card. Having already been told by MBNA that they weren't going to pay out I put the matter in the hands of the FOS. I went back to MBNA regarding the Abbey National card and they say that the two cards were put together and that their decision not to pay included the abbey national card. Can they do this, do i have ant comeback?. The abbey national want statements for the account prior to 2001 so they can pay out but have no suggestions as to where i can find copies. Can anyone help?
