The court wrote saying that ELS & COLE had put in a counter defence asking for my wifes defence to be thrown out. Els & Cole have also written to my wife accepting her payment offer but want a CONSENT ORDER signing (this look like a formal legal document - scanner not working) - will this be recorded anywhere on my wifes credit file. The court have given my wife until the 10th of December to respond. We are happy to pay this debt off - we made an increased monthly offer with help from a family member (just can't afford the whole sum at once) but want to avoid any formal record.
