This is probably quite trivial compared to some of the issues on this page but has made me really angry After receiving e-mail from said company to let me know i was entitled to £30 voucher if I spent over £60 I thought i would take them up on their offer and ordered a new school coat for my 8 year old daughter (ordered a size 9) and another £12. The Coat did not fit her so I returned and ordered a size age 11 as the size age 9 was far too small. They have now sent me a bill and taken the voucher off me as it as broken original £62 order, any thoughts anyone? It has nothing to do with the money (well maybe a bit) but is largely to do with the principle. They advised me i should have ordered 2/3 coats of different sizes to avail of offer !!!!!

I would be inclined to speak to your local Trading Standards Department about this. If the catalogue did not explain the offer terms clearly, they may be in breach of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 (as amended)[UCTA] or the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 [UTCCR].

I think i would just return the new coat and cancel the contract completely. No sale.

That's another way of dealing with it.
