I was very near Ramsgate today, having a day out in Sandwich!

Sometimes I go to Broadstairs in the summer.

I guess that shows my age!
I remember there used to be days when there was a bright orange thing shinning from a blue sky and it used to get rather warm, but that hasn't happened in this country for a long time!

Great idea! Sounds like a deal, would be lovely to meet Fuzzy, I'm sure I'll be down that way again, even if there is no summer, as long as it's above freezing and there's no torrential rain or tornadoes, I shall be visiting the lovely Kent Coast. Yesterday was a visit to Jekyll's Secret Gardens in their Spring glory, it was a bit unusual to have all those flowers blooming together, like tulips and daffs at the same time, due to this year's long winter.

When I'm well enough I often gig in Essex - there are a couple of venues in Hornchurch I used to do on a regular basis.

I'm hoping/praying/begging now i've had my nerve block I might actually be able to start doign the odd gig again - i miss it so much and really love gigging. Sometimes i even sing in tune and remmber the words - which is a huge bonus for all concerned, especially my poor hubby who has to work the PA and knows exactly when i've screwed the song up!!

I managed to gig a couple of months ago and one of my agents had sent the venue a promo poster of me when I was 13 stone and had very short hair (medication and illness made me gain weight very quickly, but I have now managed to lose the majority of the weight). When I walked in 4 stone lighter and with long brown hair, the booker said - thank god you're not that fat bird they were going to send - she looked bloody awful!! His face was a picture when i told him that actually I was that "fat bird"

That would be great - In the past I did the RBL in Hornchurch and there was another social club which was round the concern but i can't for the life of me remember the name- i'll have to go through last years diary and find out.

So far this year in Essex i'm only booked at The Beacon Tree in Dagenham on 17 August. (Its down to my health allowing it but i'm determind to get back to gigging)

Not sure if I will have anymore bookings in Hornchurch this year - its been a bit bumpy because of my health, so i'm picking up bookings as and when my health allows, but if any bookings come in for Essex way i will make sure I let you know. It would be great to meet up - i'll even buy the drinks (the more you drink the better i sound and look!!)
