  • Ex-employee owes us money

We have had a succession of parking penalty fines and road traffic fines sent to the office since this employee has left our company. We have paid the bailiffs to stop the fines increasing but we know the ex-employee is responsible for the fines and was in charge of the company vehicle at the time. How do we go about getting our money back? We have no address for him as he has moved. Any advice greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

did it state in the contract of employment hat employees would be liable for motoring transgressions

motoring criminal court fines the employee would be liable anyway but parking tickets are another matter

if you have paid the motoring court fines to a baliff, claim them back as a baliff has no right to collect on them

If the fines were PCN's (usually non-criminal), it is the owner, not the driver who is responsible for them unfortunately.
