ive been having trouble with this company for some time made a big mistake taking a fixed loan out with this company they have my address but have been phoning friends(how they got their phone numbers beats me) is this legal ive written to them stating that i had to reduce my outgoings as i am self employed and had my home phone removed to reduce out goings ,and to contact me by letter (they 25 quid a letter i found out)they also sent someone to my home whilst iwas in work (50 £ for that privellage) offered them 450£ a month they werent happy and badgered me for more i gave in am now paying them 480 per mth it all started when they closed their local office without notification i was paying cash to local office it took 3 mths to get them to send me a payment card after i went ombudsman what can i do its making me ill im worried i could lose my home to these sharks

They cannot ring your friends whatsoever as that is against the OFT debt collection guidance. Can I clarify that the account is still with Welcome or is it with a debt collection agency?

Did you take out PPI with them or loan insurance?

not that i know of looking for original documentation being self employed i opted out i think still need to know if they are allowed to phone friends and family if not whats my course of action against them

Call Consumer Direct tomorrow - 0845 4 04 05 06 - and tell them about Welcome's unwelcome antics.

Get your family and friends to complain to their telephone service provider and/or the ICO and/or Consumer Direct, as Welcome may have committed an offence contrary to section 13 of the Communications Act 2003 - link.

I wish those misbegotten momzers would call me, as I am certain I could enlighten them about their ancestry,
