  • Virgin Credit Card

    Hi folks

I would really appreciate some guidance on this one.....

Had 0% deal for a while on my Virgin credit card. I knew this was coming to an end in approximately Nov / Dec last year then would revert to the typical APR of the advertised rate of circa 16.9 to 18.9%.

I was amazed that this has actually came through at 29.9%.

NONE of the adverts / marketing literature I have seen refer to these figures.
(I have contacted Virgin and they have provided approx info: £4k @29.9%, another £4K @29.9% and £2K at 27.7%). No matter where I have looked I have never seen these APR's quoted.

Should Virgin have given me the option to cancel/stop using the card and pay off at an agreed lower APR??

    Confused

    Any advice very much appreciated

Just looked at mine-when interest free period finished-it says

      -16.8% card purchases
      -18.9% balance transfers
      -20.9% Cheques
      -27.9% Cash transactions

Also says-if you breach the agreement-they can do what they like
