    Hi

I am new to the sire and really relay need some help.

Over an 18 month period the department of work and pensions carried out a series of admin errors and poor assessments of our financial situation, resulting in us not reciveing the benefits we were in fact entitled to.

The DWP special payments team have awred us a small ammout of comphensation and also all of the benefits we should have had. We received these over one year after we should have done and the catalogue of admin errors continued as they tried to avoid payment.

Having never been in debt we are now faced with over £20,000 worth of debts and have such a bad credit rating that we can not move house and the creditors are at us daily. I now travel a 100 mile round trip each day to get to work as there is no work in my local area. We cannot re locate as the mortgage people state that they will not re issue a mortgage if we sell our house as our credit rating is so bad.

DWP have said they will not compensate any more money so now we wish to sue them for ruining our lives, but we do not have the money to pay for a lawyer and wondered if there was anyone out there that can advise the way forward for us.

    Thanks evryone

What exactly are you thinking of suing them for?
