  • HELLO

I have wondered in from MSE, following the riot OTR.
Just thought I would say hello, and that the war goes on!

Haha, no there has not! MSE is ticking along in harmony. Im talking about the other place OTR
I am just so disgusted at the way in which CAG has sold its integrity to the highest bidder.

        Welcome DownNotOut :beagle:

I presume you mean the *ahem* disagreements on CAG rather than MSE?!

Well it's all calm here on Legal Beagles and has been pretty much for over 3 years!

Looking forward to working with you.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Celestine, thats the one I don't want to make a long thread about that though, because I am sure that most on here already have a common point of view.
I am here for the freedom to communicate with others who are paddling against the current of the same stream
we can not give in and I am sure I will be a regular on here and MSE for a long time to come!

                Re: HELLO

Yep, I'm another one that jumped the now not so good ship CAG, and I originally picked it because I found MSE (and still do find) to be a little too judgemental and presumptuous.

However, I did read the MSE read with interest and what downnotout says there about CAG being on a slippery slope is correct.

I posted several threads relating to Atos Healthcare (hock...spit!) around six months ago, ALL of which were summarily removed by Cagbot.

The only way I could respond to what was said was via PM with a couple of members who had read my posts before they were removed.

I was enraged about it then, but decided to stay on board. What's happened now with the Lowell issue, is too much for me to stand, simply because what the site admin there are doing is absolutely against the grain, and insults anyone who has ever suffered because of Lowell.

And if Lowell are allowed to post there, who's next? AIC? First Credit? The last thing people - especially new posters - want to see is adverts advising them to contact Lowell (which we ALL know is NOT advisable).

At least three other long-standing members have taken the same view and come to this site (I was made never aware of Legalbeagles, believe it or not!) because of the furore, and there's at least one other Legalbeagles thread about all this, with postings from the other CAG members who've left.

But you know what the really ironic thing is? I've never been contacted by or have ever dealt with Lowell myself.

But, one DCA is the same as the next - and a debt advice forum frequented by 'previous victims' is the LAST place that should be used as revenue gathering by a collection agency. That's like allowing a wine salesman to pitch at an AA meeting.

I notice that Lowells registered as "Lowell CRT" and posted the exact same messages on MSE as well. Unlike at CAG, they were banned in short order.

I'm happy to be here at LB however.

Very interesting - it definitely makes it look like CAG's site admin have an agenda.

                        Re: HELLO

The only dealings that I have with Lowell myself is that the check my credit report every few months (always unrecorded searches of course) and I have a strong feeling that the do so on an old BarclayCard account that is 18 months from being statute barred. However the have never actually contacted me via phone, email or letter. I am 100% certain that they would have no leg to stand on with regards to a CCA so I keep looking at them looking at me and have a cool smirk across my face.

                          Re: HELLO

Well Lowells are good "friends" of mine, I'm even on first name terms with their Compliance Director, after a large number of invalid statutory Demands that they papered people with.

I must admit they have radically changed their modus operandi over the last few months, so maybe this is the new "caring sharing" face of Lowells, or maybe it's just more Bovine Excrement

We all are aware that the DCA's monitor all of the consumer sites, but overtly posting in this manner is just plain incorrect.
